The Whiteboard is the default board style and is commonly used by many because it goes well with any characters or scenes.
The Greenboard and the Blackboard gives you the feeling of presenting in a classroom that is why it is commonly used by teachers when they are creating modules for their students.
The Glassboard is ideal for corporate functions, business presentations, sales pitches, etc.
And of course, if you have a company logo or you want to use a specific color theme, you can always use the Custom Color and Custom Image to do these things.
These are just the common uses of each board but you can always use any of the boards however you want it and that’s the beauty of having options!
Setting Up Your Board Style
When you create a new video, you are prompted to select a board style. Don’t worry, you will not be stuck with it. You can always change your mind and replace it with a different board style while in the middle of editing your video.

Changing The Board Style
Changing your Board Style from the default whiteboard background is so easy.
Here’s how you do it:
- From the Edit Video screen, go to Settings.
- Under Background Style, select the Blackboard then hit Apply.
You will notice that as you change the board style, it also adjusts the color of your text from black on white to white on black.
Sometimes it makes the text or characters transparent. If that happens, just go to the Asset’s Settings and from there, you can change the color to a lighter one.
Let me show you:
- Now let’s change the Blackboard into a Glassboard.
You will notice that the text is adjusted again to white on black except that your white background is now a Glassboard, making the hand writing behind the glass.
Note: Again, if assets turned transparent, just change its color under Asset’s Settings.
Custom Color
Another board option is Custom Color. Custom color allows you to choose your preferred color via a hexadecimal color palette. You can either click through the color picker and drag to select the color of your choice or input the specific color hex code.
Custom Image
Custom image lets you use your preferred image as your board. The maximum allowed image size is 1920 X 1080.
To add your image, simply go to Settings and select the customer image.
Tip: If you can't upload your custom image, try to drag it on your Downloads folder and upload it from there.
You can adjust your image and capture just the parts you wish to show up in your background or upload the entire image.
